Despite video proof, MCA accuses Nik Aziz of insulting BR1M recipients

Despite video proof, MCA accuses Nik Aziz of insulting BR1M recipients
Chinese-only party MCA continues its crusade on PAS, and today it issued yet another condemnation of Kelantan Menteri Besar Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat based on an allegation which has since been proven wrong.
In a passionate defence of the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) cash aid scheme, the troubled BN component party's publicity bureau chairman Heng Seai Kie (pic) repeated the accusation by several BN-controlled media that Nik Aziz had labeled BR1M recipients as "animals".
"Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz has insulted the BN government’s BR1M RM500 cash aid initiative disbursement as 'scattering padi and coconut husks in front of chickens and cows to entice them to come closer'," Heng alleged.
Heng, who is deputy Women, Family and Community Development minister, also took her condemnation of Nik Aziz a step further by accusing the revered leader of endorsing rape of women who do not cover their aurat (parts of the human body which must be covered in public according to Islam).
"His series of political remarks are worrisome as they portray extremist religious ideology," declared Heng.
While BN-controlled media have accused Nik Aziz of labeling BR1M recipients as 'animals', a video clip of his original statement has gone viral, showing that he had been misquoted.
In the video posted on YouTube, Nik Aziz, addressing well-wishers who greeted him upon his return from Makkah on February 20, tells of differences between his party and other race-based parties in wooing support from the public.
Nik Aziz then gives an analogy to show how cash aid can be considered an insult to the dignity of the poor.
"It's like scattering chicken feed when we want to gather the chickens. When we want to gather the cows, buffalos, chickens or ducks, we attract them with grass or paddy hay.
"But if we tell the chickens that we want to educate them with knowledge, would they come?" he asked.
