PKR vice-president Tian Chua has denied making a 'mati katak'remark about Malaysian police commandos, describing this as “total fabrication” that is aimed at tarnishing his image.
Chua, who is also Batu MP, said he was nowhere in Puchong at the time he was purported to have made the remark.

“This are false stories. I was not in Puchong and I did not gave any derogatory speech undermining the sacrifice by our security forces. In fact, I was in Johor where I stated I have full confidence and give my full support to our security forces.”
When contacted, Chua said the claim is directed at creating public hatred towards him.
“This is a total lie. I had in fact urged the people to support our security forces,” he reiterated.
He said blogs like Mymassa, Talk with Hand, Aloqlaloq and Papagomohad told readers, especially police personnel and solders, to send text-messages or to call me to make their protest knowm.
Chua said he would consider legal action against those involved.
“I urge all Malaysians not to believe this malicious propaganda. What is needed now is for the people to be united and support our security forces and not believe such cheap political ploys directed to smear the opposition,” he added.

To date, eight police officers have died in Sabah following the clashes which began on Friday with armed Sulu intruders from The Philippines.
Inspector Zulkifli Mamat and Corporal Sabarudin Daud were killed by mortar shells on Friday near Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu. Six others were killed in Semporna on Saturday.
