PUTRAJAYA: Thousands of Malaysians gathered at the Seri Perdana complex here Thursday for the Hari Raya open house held by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet Ministers.
Najib made an entrance at 11.05am, and greeted his ministers and Barisan Nasional component party leaders.
Among the ministers present were Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz and Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.
MCA leaders, including party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and Young Professionals bureau chief Datuk Chua Tee Yong, were among the earliest to greet the Prime Minister.
The doors were opened to the public around 11pm. Some had been waiting since 8am.
An official announcement said some 100,000 guests were expected through the day.
