GEORGE TOWN - Police will detain the mobsters involved in the State Legislative Assembly break-in here earlier.
Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mior Farid Alatrash said the protesters will be investigated under Section 448 for house-trespass, which carries a one year jail term with fine.
In the 2.20pm incident, a group of unruly mobsters gathered outside the assembly, demanding an assemblyman to retract his alleged racist remark made yesterday.
Some of the members of the group then broke into the main gates and rushed into the hall, looking for the assemblyman.
Riot police stepped in later, forming a human barricade across the entrance of the building.
The group of 30 men chanted and screamed profanities against the assemblyman for approximately two hours before dispersing. -NST
