Woman on Malindo Air flight threatened crew she had BOMB IN HER BAG
KUALA LUMPUR - A woman passenger, who threatened that there was a bomb in her bag during a Malindo Air flight to Kuching, Sarawak yesterday evening will be remanded at the Sepang Magistrate’s Court today.
Sepang deputy police chief DSP Zaldino Zaludin DSP Zaldino Zaludin said the 41-year-old woman from Kuching, Sarawak worked here and was going home to visit her family.
“The incident occurred at 2.20pm when a stewardess asked her to stow her bag in the overhead compartment.
“The woman started scolding and threatening the stewardess,” he said when contacted by Bernama here yesterday.
Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad security personnel had to be called in to remove the passenger from the plane, he said, adding that the flight was delayed for about two and a half hours.
Meanwhile, Malindo Air chief communication officer Raja Sa’aadi Raja Amrin confirmed the incident and said the woman was apparently very angry before boarding the flight and had also said there was a bomb on board. — Bernama
