PETALING JAYA: A call has gone out to PKR members to set up more branches and get people to join its women’s wing to win the 15th general election.
PKR advisory council chairman Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail noted that the party’s membership had increased gradually since its establishment 22 years ago and this showed the party remained relevant in the political arena.
Officiating the 15th PKR national congress today, the former deputy prime minister said the party had 2,028 branches nationwide.
She also said she hoped to see more women candidates taking part in GE15.
The three-day congress is being held online, following the implementation of the movement control order (MCO 3.0).
Both the women’s and youth wings will be represented by 50 delegates each for the congress. - FMT
