The father of BN’s candidate for the Mahkota by-election, Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah, has passed away, according to Johor Umno.
It was reported that Syed Hussien’s father, Syed Abdullah Syed Abdul Hamid (above, right), who was 67, died this evening two days after he was placed in an induced coma.
The Johor Umno liaison committee posted a condolence message on Facebook.
“We regret to inform that the father of Syed Hussien has left us. Let us pray for him to rest in peace and may he be placed among the righteous.
“Condolences to Syed Hussien’s family and may they be strong in facing this hardship,” read the posting.
Syed Hussien (above, left), who is the Kluang Umno Youth chief, was announced as BN’s Mahkota candidate during the Johor BN campaign machinery launch on Sunday.
Later that same evening, he posted that his father - a former Kluang Umno vice-chief - was placed in an induced coma. - Mkini
