More evacuated in Selangor, Perak due to floods

PETALING JAYA: 

A few more people were evacuated from floods in Selangor tonight, involving 975 people from 232 families as of 8pm today, compared with 960 people reported this afternoon.

The welfare department said the evacuees were being housed at six temporary shelters in Shah Alam, Gombak and Kuala Selangor, Bernama reported.

In Perak, a new relief centre was opened in Bagan Serai, Kerian, to house 28 people from Kampung Air Itam 2 Kiri. A total of 136 people are being sheltered at four relief centres across the Taiping and Kerian districts, compared with 121 people earlier today. - FMT
