PETALING JAYA: A landslide has closed the road at Km43.4 Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands.
Ipoh police chief Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the road was closed from 5pm today to make way for remedial work by the public works department (JKR).
“Police are conducting traffic control along the affected route from time to time.
“The road is closed as there is still soil movement in the area,” he said in a statement today, Bernama reported.
Meanwhile, the Kinta district JKR said landslides along Jalan Simpang Pulai-Blue Valley are still happening and rain can make the situation worse.
It advised road users to use the Jalan Tapah-Cameron Highlands road instead. - FMT
