KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested three men believed to be involved in snatching a gold chain worth RM30,000 in Subang Jaya on Oct 12.
Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the victim, also a man, was ambushed by one of the suspects.
He said the suspects, in their 30s, were arrested in three separate raids carried out in Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya yesterday.
“They comprise a document forwarder, a gold buyer and a gold shop assistant.
“Two of them have records for criminal and narcotics offences,” he said in a statement.
Wan Azlan said police also seized several pieces of jewellery, receipts for gold purchases, and a motorcycle.
“Following these arrests, police believe they have solved at least eight snatch theft cases in Subang Jaya. Investigations will be carried out to determine if others are involved (in the cases),” he said. - FMT
