WHO doesn’t like driving a police patrol car, with the loud siren conveying authority coupled with an appearance that brook no dispute.
That being said, anyone who drives a police patrol car will find the many doors of opportunity open for them. If not, they should encounter little trouble doing all the opening themselves.
In a video post on X, a police officer could be seen cutting the traffic queue to arrive early at the school gate.
One of the parents who recorded the event said that this was not the first time he has done so.
“A police officer is not the only one who has work. I also need to return to work after bringing my children, alright? Is this fair for the other parents?” said the unidentified parent.
Also, it was pointed out that the police patrol car was an asset of the country, bought using the tax paid by the people.
Fellow netizens have since swarmed the video post like angry bees, filling the comment section with words of condemnation.
Netizen i am watching said, “This is normal. On the siren, cut the queue and then relax.”
Another netizen pointed out that this is what happens when people take Mat Rempits to become police officers.
α.c.α.β added that if the father was a bully on the road, the son will most likely become a bully at school.
Away from all the online “judgement”, Polis Diraja Malaysia (Seremban) has issued a statement stating that the officer had been identified and that investigations are conducted.
The statement further identified the location as Jalan Camar 1, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
Andrew DCZR was rather pessimistic, saying that the worst that could happen was they get a warning letter. After that, it is just a change to a new department.
Netizen Wild Orchid also shared that she had once faced such a problem too when sending her child to Sekolah Sri Bintang Utara.
It wasn’t the police but someone from the ministry with the coats of arms, with an Innova car.
“Its not the first time he cut the queue, but everytime when I send my child to school. I took a video, sent an email to the ministry involved but there was no response. But after the incident, she never saw the Innova with the coats of arms again,” said Wild Orchid.
More than just food for thought or entertainment, this also shows the power the public can play as vigilantes to stop power abuse by the authorities.
We hope we don’t hear stories of doctors delivering their children to schools using ambulance next. Then again, that should make for a rather enjoyable read.
As for the queue-cutting police officer, he won’t be doing that again, hopefully—Focus Malaysia
