Netizens think Malay men are developing a taste for Indonesian women

GRASS ON the other side is greener. Perhaps this adage requires some modifications to fit wit the current dating trend where Malaysian men are increasingly looking towards foreign women to fill their empty, lonely lives. We suppose flowers on the other side are more beautiful.

Underlining this newly created adage is a hot post on X by netizen @meinmokhtar who pointed out that Malay men are increasingly into Indonesian women.

The post can be found at: https://x.com/meinmokhtar/status/2020774817893626173

“Not new. This is since a long time ago,” said @syafiqwazzan88 while @HabibKun4 said that no matter how beautiful she is, she is still an Indonesian, akin to a Bangladesh.

Also, @IceB97 advised caution, stating that these Indonesian women are looking to get their citizenship. After that, they will start cheating around.

Reinforcing his opinion was @IsmaHudas who shared a story involving his friend who was coupled with an Indonesian woman. Apparently he found out later that the lady had a husband back in her home country.

“Malay women have started marrying Bangladeshi men. What is wrong about the Malay men finding Indonesians,” said @usernamekudus.

Then there was @Kokokukenit2 highlighting the virtues of the Indonesian women. According to him, the lady would cook, massage and serve the husband when he returns home, but these traits are reserved to the girls from the villages who do not have the feminist ideology.

Lastly, @LCrypto666 remarked that many were looking for Russian women. This trend likely stemmed from a Malay, Russian couple (Mohamd Anwar Mohd Yusli and Anna Eltsova) who received substantial attention back in 2021.

Love comes in all shapes, colours and sizes. On our part, we think anyone can build a beautiful, lasting relationship, regardless of race and nationality. But not everyone can find the strength, commitment and sacrifice to make it last. —Focus Malaysia
