Girl dies, brother hurt in fall from apartment unit in Tampoi

JOHOR BAHRU:

A girl died while her brother was injured after they were believed to have fallen from the 12th floor of an apartment block in Tampoi yesterday.

Johor Bahru North police chief Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said the eight-year-old victim was found on the seventh floor of the apartment at 7.59am, followed by her 10-year-old brother a minute later.

“The injured victim is currently being treated at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital here and is reported to be in a stable condition,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

Radin said the case is still under investigation and a media statement would be issued later.

Earlier, the incident went viral on the Threads platform after being uploaded by a member of the public who was at the swimming pool near the location. - FMT
