Cheras police chief Rosdi Daud says the victim was rushed to hospital following the incident.

Cheras police chief Rosdi Daud said police received a report on the incident involving two Form One students on April 16.
He said the incident occurred in front of the school cooperative and stemmed from a misunderstanding over canteen seating between the victim and the suspect.
He said the suspect allegedly “choked the victim from behind and verbally provoked” him during the incident.
Rosdi said the victim was referred to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz in Cheras for treatment on April 16.
He added that the school had issued a warning and suspended the suspect following a meeting involving the police, school authorities and the students’ guardians on April 20
The police response comes after the mother of the victim shared her account of the incident in a post on Threads yesterday, stating her dissatisfaction with the punishment meted out to the offending student. - FMT
