About 80% of tickets have already been sold for the 2026 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Sepang on Oct 30-Nov 1.

Hakim secured several podium finishes and a race victory in his debut season in the world championship. Sepang circuit CEO Azhan Shafriman Hanif said it was a historic achievement.
“Hakim has done very, very well this year. For a rookie, we have seen in the past how difficult it is to get on the podium. He has proven himself by securing podium finishes, and to win a race in his first year is absolutely amazing,” he said at a MotoGP press conference today.
“This year’s Malaysian MotoGP is special because we have Hakim. I urge all fans, even those who are not motorsports fans, to support our very own talent, who will be competing in the Moto3 category,” he said.
Terengganu-born Hakim made history by finishing third at the Italian GP on June 1 before creating a sensation by winning the Grand Prix of Czechia on June 22.
However, the young rider has faced his share of challenges, including fluctuations in performance, Azhan said. “Hopefully, he will bounce back in the second half of the season and fight strongly in the remaining races,” he added.
About 80% of the tickets for the Hakim Danish Tribune and Premier Seat categories have already sold out, Azhan said. The MotoGP is expected to attract an attendance of 200,000 spectators, with Sepang offering free admission to the circuit grounds and surrounding areas on Oct 30 to encourage fans to arrive early. - FMT
