The Pakatan Harapan election director says he is prioritising political stability and the people’s interest when negotiating electoral pacts.

PH election director Amirudin Shari said the coalition was prioritising winning the election, political stability and the people’s interest when negotiating electoral pacts.
He added that the “door is still open” and that the coalition held talks “with everybody”.
“Now there are two other major coalitions, BN and Perikatan Nasional, and parties like Bersatu. It is still an open game,” he told reporters after attending the opening of Sunway Medical Centre Damansara, here.
Amirudin, however, admitted that he was getting mixed responses from leaders, but PH will nonetheless strive to find an “amicable solution”.
On Tuesday, Amanah communications director Khalid Samad was reported to have said that PH was open to working with any party except BN and PN.
However, Melaka Amanah chief Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat dismissed Khalid’s remarks as his personal view.
Ashraf said PH was keeping the door open to the possibility of an alliance, including with BN or Bersatu.
BN has not committed to an alliance with any party for the Melaka polls, despite coalition chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi initially saying they would join forces with PN again.
Bersatu has separately said it will not cooperate with any party in the Melaka polls, including PH. - FMT
