The Malaysian hockey stars, who edged South Korea 2-1 in the semi-final, will meet favourites India for the gold medal on Saturday.

In Saturday’s final, the Speedy Tigers will take on favourites India for the gold medal, which Malaysia has never won at the Asian Games. The national team won silver at the 2010 and 2018 Asian Games.
The Malaysian men’s hockey team dominated Pool B, finishing top of the table with a perfect record of five wins from five matches. They scored a staggering total of 34 goals while conceding only four.
Striker Azrai Isaac was the hero of the national team, netting both goals for Malaysia. His first was off a penalty corner in the 40th minute, and the second came through a penalty stroke five minutes later.
