State DAP chairman J Arul Kumar says the allegations are serious as they involve the royal institution, which should remain above party politics.

State DAP chairman J Arul Kumar said the post by “Khalide Al Walid” alleged, among other things, that there were links between DAP and the Yang Dipertuan Besar.
According to Bernama, he said the allegations were serious as they involved the royal institution, which should remain above party politics.
“As a political party, we are accustomed to criticism and pressure, but when the royal institution is linked to any political party, that crosses the line,” he was quoted as saying after lodging the report at the Seremban police headquarters.
Arul said DAP would leave the matter to the police to investigate, including the identity of the account owner and whether legal action should be taken.
He said the post also allegedly linked DAP to several other issues, including the transfer of ownership of customary land and the renaming of roads.
Arul, the Nilai assemblyman, said the transfer of ownership of customary land had never been discussed during his eight years as a state executive councillor.
He also said the renaming of roads was decided by the state executive council and should not be attributed to any political party.
Arul said DAP did not want the issues politicised or linked to the party, and that the crisis in Negeri Sembilan should be promptly resolved so that the state administration can function effectively. - FMT
