Provide proof of pig farming in Sg Bukit Lagong, MB tells netizen

Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari has urged a netizen to provide proof that pig farming is taking place at Sungai Bukit Lagong, Selayang, after a claim that such activities were being carried out along the river.

Amirudin said he had studied drone photos from the Selayang municipal council (MPS) and found no evidence of pig farming in the area.

Instead, he said, two cattle farms were identified.

“I have since asked MPS to carry out an on-site inspection for confirmation,” he said in a posting on Threads.

“To the person who made the allegation: please provide proof if you have any, and we will take further action.”

In the Threads post, user @pilotvvip had urged the public not to bathe in the river, claiming that pig farms were discharging their waste there.

The user also alleged that local residents had filed complaints, which were not acted upon by MPS. - FMT
