The Rantau folks are struggling to meet their ends.
They had hoped that their assemblyman then, Mohamad Hasan or Tok Mat who was the Negeri Sembilan Mentri Besar will bring greater development to their area so that the Rantau folks could have an ideal life.
Instead of helping his own Rantau folks, it seems that Tok Mat was quietly enriching himself by corruption and illegal means.
Tok Mat had claimed that he became "homeless" after the BN was ousted in Negeri Sembilan after the last general elections.
Suddenly news revealed that he bought a apartment for RM10 Million in London in 2008 and he also owns another property, luxury Minangkabau Mansion at Saujana Duta, Seremban 2 which is worth RM6 Million. Tok Mat had claimed that his home at Kuala Lumpur is also his and was occupied by his children.
A low cost housing scheme at Rantau was given mainly to outsiders rather than the Rantau folks. This should clearly show the Rantau voters and folks that Tok Mat does not care about their well-being.
What surprises many Malaysians is how can Tok Mat have so much of money to buy these properties. What was the LHDN doing ? Why no investigation was carried out. Surely as a corporate figure in Cycle & Carriage and Assemblyman cum Mentri Besar, he could not have earned so much.
The Rantau voters should not be fooled again. Tok Mat also lies to gain their sympathy.
The Malay voters should realise that they were kept in a sleepy village with no real developments or any improvement, without a Fire Station, Ambulance service or properly equipped Kelinik Kesihatan to cater for their needs.
It now depends on the Rantau voters to wake up and analyse how Tok Mat had actually 'conned" them all this time with his sneaky smile and talk by quietly enriching himself, family, brothers and close friends.
It time to give Tok Mat a boot. What say you. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
