KUANTAN: A lorry driver, a mechanic and a general worker have pleaded guilty to criminal intimidation, wrongful confinement and committing mischief last month against 11 people who borrowed money from loan sharks or “Ah Long”.
A fourth man pleaded not guilty to three separate charges.
Lorry driver Muhamat Faizul Abu Yamin, 35, admitted six charges of chaining the gates and pasting threatening notices at the houses of four women and two men, and splashing red paint on their premises and cars in the Kuantan area between Aug 22 and Sept 1.
He also pleaded guilty to four other charges of criminal threats, mischief and wrongful confinement against the four women between April 18 and Aug 31 by pasting threatening notices in front of their house and splashing red paint on their cars and house compounds in Taman Tas Ria and Bandar Baru Chendor here.
A mechanic, Nadzrin Musa, 29, pleaded guilty to conspiring with Muhamat Faizul to lock up two of the women in a house in Taman Balok Jaya on Aug 31, by chaining and locking the gate of the house.
A general worker, Adam Sait, 35, pleaded guilty to three similar charges against three other victims between Aug 21 and 26.
Muhamat Faizul was allowed bail of RM10,000 and RM20,000, while bail of RM7,000 was set for Adam and RM2,000 for Nadzrin. They will be sentenced on Sept 27.
A general worker at an oil palm plantation, Ahmad Fadil Mahmudin, 43, pleaded not guilty to three charges of criminal threats, mischief and confining a woman in a house in Indera Mahkota here on Aug 26.
He was allowed bail of RM10,000. - FMT
