PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has urged road users to be careful following flash floods at several roads in the city centre.

In a tweet, DBKL’s Kuala Lumpur command & control centre shared pictures of roads affected by the flash floods in Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Bangsar, Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Maharajalela.

The pictures from the closed circuit television (CCTV) were taken at around 4.20pm.

Netizens also tweeted that other roads such as Jalan Dang Wangi and Jalan Damansara were also affected.

Meanwhile, the irrigation and drainage department has also warned of rising water levels at three rivers in Selangor.

In a tweet, it said Sungai Langat recorded a water level of 3.41m while Sungai Bernam had exceeded the danger level with a reading of 27.12m.

Sungai Selangor in Jalan Rantau Panjang also exceeded the alert level with a reading of 6.88m. - FMT
