Cops release man who allegedly posted racially-sensitive videos

 

The 39-year-old man was released from the Dang Wangi district police headquarters this morning.

PETALING JAYA: A man who had been arrested for allegedly posting a video containing racial elements on social media has been released from remand.

The man, who goes by the Twitter handle @bumilangit, was released from the Dang Wangi district police headquarters today.

Police arrested the man on Thursday to assist in investigations under the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) for improper use of network facilities.

The 39-year-old was under investigation for allegedly inciting racial tension through a video uploaded to TikTok. - FMT
