Covid-19 (Nov 26): 2,898 new cases, 4 deaths

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 2,898 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,984,272.

Active cases currently stood at 27,008, down 8.8 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Selangor (1,230)
Sabah (210)
Kuala Lumpur (206)
Malacca (197)
Sarawak (176)
Perak (153)
Penang (120)
Kedah (109)
Pahang (106)
Negeri Sembilan (102)
Terengganu (77)
Putrajaya (72)
Kelantan (66)
Johor (47)
Labuan (18)
Perlis (9)


Another four deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, none of which were declared as “brought in dead”.

The deaths were in Johor (1), Kedah (1), Perak (1), and Sabah (1).

Over the past week, an average of 7.9 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 6.2, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,648 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There are 1,973 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 97 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (151), followed by Sabah (107) and Johor (72). - Mkini
