Incumbent Tanjong Malim MP's billboard vandalised with red paint

GE15 | The Pakatan Harapan Tanjong Malim campaign team lodged a police report today against unknown individuals who splashed red paint on its candidate's billboard.

Harapan’s candidate for Tanjong Malim, Chang Lih Kang condemned the actions by irresponsible parties and regretted the incident, which is believed to have happened at midnight last night.

"This is the first time such a dirty campaign trick has happened in the Tanjong Malim parliamentary constituency.

"My campaign team has filed a police report earlier, and I request that an investigation be carried out immediately and action be taken against the parties involved," Chang (above, left) said in a statement.

In the meantime, Harapan’s Behrang state assembly candidate Khairol Najib, who was also present, said he regretted the actions of some parties who had used glue to paste his campaign posters on vehicles around Behrang, which resulted in damage to the vehicles involved.

"A police report was lodged yesterday and we have obtained CCTV footage from a nearby business owner, which shows several individuals pasting my poster at around 1am.

“I hope strict action will be taken against any party involved and campaigning will be conducted professionally in the Tanjong Malim area," he added. - Mkini
