GE15 | Caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has promised that if he returns to office, he will instal MCA president Wee Ka Siong as a cabinet minister again.
Ismail Sabri said Wee worked tirelessly for the residents of Ayer Hitam, and putting him in the cabinet once more will benefit the constituents.
"Those who will benefit (from Wee in cabinet) are Ayer Hitam's people.
"It's not enough for Wee to meet me at the office, he also meets me at home. For what? For the people of Ayer Hitam," he said at a BN get-together in the constituency today.
Ismail Sabri added that he has never rejected any of Wee's requests for Ayer Hitam, and will continue to do so after the election.
Earlier, the transport minister rallied the crowd at the get-together to ensure both he and Ismail Sabri win in the 15th general election.
Wee has served as Ayer Hitam MP since 2004.
He narrowly held on to the seat in 2018 with a slim majority of 303 votes.
He will be facing Pakatan Harapan's Sheikh Omar Bagharib Ali and Perikatan Nasional's Muhammad Syafiq A Aziz at the ballot box on Nov 19. - Mkini
