Ballot boxes will be kept at police station lockups until polling day, when the votes will be counted from 4pm.

KUALA LUMPUR: Nearly 225,000 early voters will cast their ballots at 578 early voting centres for the general election and the Bugaya by-election tomorrow.

Election Commission secretary Ikmalrudin Ishak said 117,473 were military personnel and their spouses and 107,355 were General Operations Force personnel and their spouses.

The early voting centres will open from 8am to 5pm but some will close early, the EC said.
