Perak swears in BN-Harapan excos

 

Perak has sworn in 10 exco members from both BN and Pakatan Harapan - following a historic unity government being formed in the state.

Three of the excos were from BN, and seven from Harapan.

The list is as follows:

• Mohd Zolkafly Harun (BN-Lintang)

• Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin (Harapan-Sungai Rapat)

• A Sivanesan (Harapan-Sungkai)

• Loh Sze Yee (Harapan-Jalong)

• Salbiah Mohamed (BN-Temengor)

• Teh Kok Lim (Harapan-Aulong)

• Sandrea Ng (Harapan-Teja)

• Khairudin Abu Hanipah (BN-Belanja)

• Mohd Azlan Helmi Helmi (Harapan-Tualang Sekah)

• Woo Kah Leong (Harapan-Pasir Bedamar)

Of the Harapan excos, four are from DAP, two from PKR, and one from Amanah.

In Saturday's election, BN won nine seats (Umno 8, MCA 1) while Harapan won 24 seats (DAP 18, PKR 5, Amanah 1)

Perikatan Nasional, meanwhile, won 26 seats.

With no party having the required 30-seat majority in the state assembly, Harapan approached BN to form a coalition government - with BN's Saarani Mohamad retaining his menteri besar post.
