Selangor allocates RM1.47m to repair Ampang slope

The Selangor government has approved RM1.471 million to repair a slope at Taman Bukit Permai in Ampang which was affected by a landslide in March, the state legislative assembly was told today.

State executive councillor (exco) for infrastructure and public amenities, agriculture, modernisation, and agro-based industry Izham Hashim said that, as of Sept 30, the status of the project to restore collapsed land in the area was at 62 percent.

He was responding to a question from Lai Wai Chong (Warisan-Teratai) who wanted to know the status of the landslide in Taman Bukit Permai, which came under the Teratai state constituency previously.

Meanwhile, Izham said the state government has allocated RM35,000 to 70 families affected by the landslide, with each family receiving a contribution of RM500.

“In addition, the owners of six damaged cars received a contribution of RM500, making a total of RM3,000 contribution from the Tabung Amanah Bencana Alam (Natural Disaster Fund),” he said.

In a separate development, Izham said the construction of the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link) project has not yet been finalised at the state government level.

This is because there has been no Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Social Impact Assessment (SIA), or Transport Impact Assessment (TIA) conducted so far.

“The studies have to be submitted to the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) and endorsed by the state executive council, including settlement of land matters,” he said.

He was responding to a question from R Rajiv (Harapan - Bukit Gasing) who wanted to know the latest status of the application for the construction of the PJD Link.
