PETALING JAYA: The meteorological department (MetMalaysia) expects thunderstorms to hit several districts and states in the peninsula as well as parts of Sabah this morning.
According to a thunderstorm warning it issued at 6.30am, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to occur in Hulu Langat, Selangor as well as all districts in Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.
The same weather conditions are also expected to hit eight districts in the state of Johor, namely Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru, Berita Harian reported.
Meanwhile, in Sabah, the districts that are expected to be affected are Nabawan, Tawau and Sandakan.
Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to last until 9am. - FMT
