Jamal decries 'fake account' as police probes 'May 13 flying parang' post

Police will investigate Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos over a posting vowing that the Nov 19 Bersih 5 rally will see a repeate of the May 13, 1969 race riots.
"This seditious statement is unacceptable. Police will take stern and swift action," inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said on Twitter today.
He was referring to a Facebook posting under the account 'Dato Jamal Yunos', but Jamal said the account is fake.
"I promise the May 13 tragedy will repeat along with flying parang if Bersih 5 is held at the time, date and place as planned on Nov 19. Long live Malays!" the allegedly seditious posting read.
The posting received more than 4000 comments, and counting, since it was posted on Sept 21.
However, in the allegedly fake account misspells the word 'Sekinchan' as 'Sekincan' while the Facebook messenger contact name is spelled 'DatokJamalYunos'.

Decrying the posting by the allegedly fake account, Jamal said this is proof that Bersih is "the anti-Christ" (dajjal).
Muslims believe that as the end of the world draws closer, the anti-Christ will test the faithful by disguising himself as a force of good.
Jamal, who leads the anti-Bersih group referred to as the red shirts, also accused the DAP of putting up the fake account.
Police today also arrested three red shirt supporters for alleged rioting, after a Bersih activist was assaulted in Sabak Bernam yesterday. -Mkini
