PETALING JAYA – It will be a union not only between two lovers but also of two of the richest families in Malaysia – SM Faliq Nasimuddin, son of late Tan Sri Nasimuddin Amin, and Chryseis Tan, daughter of Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
The CEO of Berjaya Times Square announced her engagement to the deputy executive chairman and group managing director of Naza TTDI on Instagram on Saturday.
Faliq popped the question on Friday in a beautiful proposal in Marrakesh, Morocco, where the duo are currently holidaying.
In the photo, Faliq got down on his knee while Chryseis held back tears of joy.
They were illuminated by pink lights and surrounded by bouquets of fresh flowers, candles and a floral sign that read “Will you marry me?”
The post was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and friends celebrating the good news.
“This is a very touching moment! Congratulations! Wishing you both lovely couple lots of love and happiness!” said one fan with the handle ps_winter_ps.
“Congratulations!! We’ve all been waiting for this very moment!!!” says Lauradilusso.
Fans also expressed their surprise and asked for more photos of their engagement.
Giving her blessing, Chryseis’ younger sister Chrystal Tan commented that she would miss raiding her sister’s closet.
“Thank you to every single one of you for the wishes,” Chryseis posted on Instagram yesterday.
The post was accompanied by a photo of the couple with Chryseis displaying her ring finger.
Faliq is the last among three brothers to be married.
Chryseis, who has 10 siblings, is also the executive director of Berjaya Assets Bhd and an investor in several brands including Greyhound Cafe and La Juiceria, and is known for her luxurious jet-setting lifestyle.
