54-year-old falls to his death – a month after wife dies of Covid

 

The dead man was found to be Covid-19 positive, too.

PETALING JAYA: A 54-year-old lorry driver fell to his death from the 15th floor of the Pandan Ria Ampang apartment, a month after his wife had died of Covid-19.

In a statement, Ampang Jaya district police said the man also tested positive for Covid-19.

Police were informed of the incident at 8.25am this morning. They said the man had lived on the fifth floor of the apartment for the past 30 years.

The case has been classified as sudden death.

The statement said a distraught 15-year-old boy, the only child of the couple, told police his mother had died of Covid-19 last month.

The police said no foul play was suspected. They said the body was brought to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital and was confirmed positive for Covid-19.
