KUALA LUMPUR: A Grab delivery rider narrowly escaped serious injury after losing control of his motorcycle upon hitting an open utility trench on Jalan Bangsar today.

A 26-second video shared on TikTok by Madaninomics showed the rider sprawled on the road, with his delivery bag flung several metres away.

Fellow motorcyclists quickly stopped to assist, checking on the injured man, while another individual was seen inspecting the trench believed to have been dug for cable-laying works.

The trench is estimated to be about five inches wide and two inches deep.

The New Straits Times has reached out to Kuala Lumpur City Hall for comment. - NST
