The deputy domestic trade and cost of living minister urges people not to panic as the nation's supply of fuel remains sufficient.

Deputy minister Fuziah Salleh said an increase in demand for fuel in several locations had caused the temporary disruption of supply to just a few stations.
“The ministry and industry players are monitoring the situation closely and efforts to restore supply are being made.
“I want to stress that the nation’s supply of fuel remains stable and sufficient. Therefore, I call on the public not to panic and to purchase fuel as per usual,” she said in a Facebook post.
Fuziah said the cooperation of all parties was crucial to ensure fuel supply remains under control.
Shell Malaysia had reportedly experienced disruptions at several stations in the peninsula because of delayed deliveries of RON95 and diesel.
On Thursday, the company said peaks in demand had caused a shortfall of fuel at a few stations, but it was working on supporting fuel supply continuity within its retail network.
The price of subsidised RON95 remains at RM1.99 a litre under the government’s BUDI95 scheme, despite the surge in oil prices caused by the Iran war. - FMT
