Police have confirmed that the black box found last night near the entrance of an established shopping centre in Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur did not contain any bomb.
Dang Wangi district police chief Mohd Sukri Kaman said a bomb disposal team was sent to the location following a call on the suspicious discovery.
“An inspection found that the box did not contain any explosives and was disposed of at 1.50am,” he told Bernama when contacted.
He said police were conducting further investigation on the identity of the individual responsible for placing the object at the spot.
