We will spill the beans on Khalid, warns Selangor exco Teng

Selangor BN's plans to rope in four former menteris besar, particularly Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, to recapture the state in the coming general election, could be a "double-edged sword".
Selangor senior exco Teng Chang Khim lent this caution on the possible recruitment of Khalid - who will "announce his position on GE14" tomorrow.

While Selangor BN may capitalise on using Khalid (photo) to its advantage by slamming the weaknesses of the state administration, Teng said, Pakatan Harapan too, is aware of Khalid's style of governance and personal weaknesses during his term as menteri besar, and will not hesitate to reveal the "skeletons in their closet".
Teng said Khalid and his predecessors Mohamad Khir Toyo, Abu Hassan Omar and Muhammad Muhammad Taib did not step down in a "decent manner".
"He (Khalid) was forced to step down. But we respected each other and did not go to the extent of embarrassing him (by revealing them).
"But, if he chooses to be with the other side, we will reveal his weaknesses. In fact, we were forced to clean up the mess that was caused by him when he was menteri besar," said Teng.

Khalid was jettisoned from his position, following the "Kajang Move", a political manoeuvre to replace him with PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim through a by-election.
Teng who is Sungai Pisang assemblyperson also said similar action will be taken against the other three former menteris besar.
In a recent interview with Malaysiakini, former menteri besar Abu Hassan (photo) claimed that BN will receive help from Khalid.

"Khalid is prepared to do so (help BN's campaign) and now we have four former menteris besar (on our side). I've discussed this with Noh, and he needs our (former menteris besar's) help, so insya Allah we will help," Abu Hassan had said during the interview.
Meanwhile, Selangor Umno secretary Johan Abdul Aziz said these menteris besar could highlight the weaknesses in the state administration.
"Mat Taib had recently pointed out in frustration the closure of the Yayasan Selangor hostel at Kampung Pandan," he said.
However, Selangor Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) secretary Zuraida Kamaruddin said Khalid has no added value and extra charms.

"Umno's and BN's retrospective stance is a manifestation of BN's inability to bring new breath and freshness and definitely new thinking.
"Their 'recycle attitude' shows that they do not develop any succession plan in grooming the young blood to take the helm.
"Khalid joining is no threat at all to PKR and Harapan, because he has nothing extra and has no grassroots too," she said.- Mkini
