50NEWSLearning khat is not about the Islamisation of vernacular schools, says Maszlee
Some just like to criticise everything the government does.
Can Maszlee show us the benefits that can be gained by learning 'Khat' writing after completing school?
Can we use 'Khat' writing to improve our lives and earn a handsome income?
If it is just to improve our writing skills than it should be taught in kindergarten and NOT at Standard 4 Bahasa Melayu class.
Maszlee seem to be a "confused man" who does not know what is expected of a working man or woman once they complete their studies.
It is a very competitive world that one will be approaching and if they are not equipped with the required skills and knowledge, one will only be a mere labourer.
If this situation happens, the Malaysian government may in future need to provide living subsidy to ensure that these individuals can lead a normal life.
Its time for a proper REFORM be carried out in our Education System with greater emphasis on vocational training and skills and digital knowledge to face the future employment scene.
Unwanted subjects like religious classes and moral should just be for one period per week.
We should not spoil the future of our children for our selfish greed to promote uneconomical subjects in our school syllabus.
Let's get our future citizens to be worthy with advance knowledge that is required of them when they are employed then.
If Maszlee is unable to be far sighted of what is expected of, then he should resign as Education Minister immediately.
Even the "black shoes and white shoes" episode should be a turning point for Maszlee to ponder upon. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
