Over the years I have developed some skills in cooking briyani especially ‘dhum’ briyani. Even started a hobby-business taking some catering orders (mostly from friends).
And I have a couple of briyani kaki friends with whom I scout around for good briyani spots. Today we tried out Chennai Rawther Biriyani - which serves pretty good stuff - Chennai or Madras style - so is the understanding.
It is a small shop located inside a Food Court - the food court that is located on the ground floor of that DBKL multi storey car park directly behind Haniffa Department Store in Jalan Masjid India.

That’s Mohd Rifai who runs this spot. Chicken briyani is RM12.00 whereas mutton briyani is RM15.00. The mutton briyani is prepared with local kambing and the taste is good.
They serve food from 10am till closing at 8pm. And yes the teh halia is superb with the briyani.
