Ex-senior PKR members urge Azmin, Amirudin to apologise to Anwar

A group of former senior PKR members today urged the party deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and Selangor chairperson Amirudin Shari to apologise for their negative remarks against party president Anwar Ibrahim.
The group, which calls itself Jawatankuasa Bertindak Kumpulan Penyokong Reformasi Tegar (Kudrat), said the two young leaders should be mindful of ethics and refrain from producing unwarranted statements.
"We are worried about the surfacing problems in Pakatan Harapan, notably the clashes among leaders in the component parties.
"The issues should have been resolved especially involving those who were rude," Kudrat chairperson Baharudin Ali Masrom told Malaysiakini after the group held a meeting in Kuala Lumpur today.

Baharudin expressed disappointment with Azmin, who openly supported PAS' call for Dr Mahathir Mohamad to serve out a full term as prime minister.
"This although the promise is clear that the premier's post would be passed to Anwar after two years," he said.
Prior to that, Azmin urged Anwar to "look in a mirror" following a suggestion that the former should resign as economic affairs minister if the sex video implicating him was proven to be authentic.
Last week, PKR disciplinary board said it would be sending letters to Amirudin and several others over their controversial statements.
Both Azmin and Amirudin (photo) skipped the party's central leadership council (MPP) meetings several times.
Azmin said he was busy with ministerial obligations, while Amirudin, the Selangor menteri besar, said he skipped the meeting on July 28 after he was "stuck in bad traffic."
Baharudin said that without Anwar, both Azmin and Amirduin would not be where they were now.
Commenting on the chances of Anwar becoming prime minister, he said he believed Mahathir would not break his "two years" pledge despite "attempts from certain quarters to coax Mahathir out from fulfilling his promise."
"My advice to those who are trying to influence the prime minister is, just wait for your turn. You are all still young," he said. - Mkini
