SEPANG – Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam says he will press the Prime Minister to fire or ask Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali to step down over the sex video scandal.

“We will do so every Saturday, starting next week, if Tun still does not fire him or ask him to resign, ” he said when met at KLIA on Wednesday afternoon (Aug 21).

Lokman had flown to the United Kingdom to try and verify the authenticity of the now-viral sex video.

According to him, the report he commissioned an England-based company to conduct showed that the two “actors” in the video resembled the photos of Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz and Azmin.

“They stated that for Azmin’s photo, there was nothing that did not match the videos. They can’t say that it is, in fact, Azmin; only that the photos match.

“So now we want to ask the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) whether he did not provide any photos to CyberSecurity or if they cannot identify Azmin 100%, ” he said.

Lokman added that if CyberSecurity said that there was a majority match, then that would be enough for him.

“It’s strange that even after two months, the IGP has not passed the investigation paper to the Attorney General’s office.

“If he has done so, he should inform the public, ” he said.

Lokman added that such report would be used to urged the AG to take action against Azmin.

“If they do not, then I will sue both the AG and the IGP, ” he said.

Azmin has categorically denied allegations that he was the second man in the sex video, saying it was made to tarnish his reputation and destroy his political career.

Still no disciplinary action against Azmin for skipping party meetings

PKR has not issued any reminder letters to its deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali who was reported to have failed to attend several party meetings.

PKR disciplinary board chairman Ahmad Kassim said the board currently had no reasonable justification to take action against Azmin.

“We have not issued a reminder letter to the deputy president because he did not do anything requiring us to issue a letter asking for explanation.

“The business (not attending meeting) is not under the jurisdiction of the disciplinary board. It is the work of the PKR secretary-general (Saifuddin Nasution Ismail),” he told a media conference after a PKR political bureau meeting in Petaling Jaya today.

Ahmad was asked on the absence of Azmin at several PKR meetings prior to this.

In the meantime, Ahmad said the disciplinary board would not take any action against Selangor PKR chairman Amirudin Shari and Perak PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

He said the PKR political bureau was satisfied with the contents of the letters of explanations from them both, which were also accompanied with apologies on the statements on the sex video, which was linked to a minister.

On July 25, the disciplinary board contacted Amirudin – who is also Selangor menteri besar – Farhash and several other party members on the statements issued on the pornographic video issue, which went viral on social media in June.
