KUALA KUBU BARU: He pretended to be a doctor and he fooled his “patients” over the phone into stripping and even asked one to slap her own breasts with her handphone in order to break up lumps of fat.
The 39-year-old man from Terengganu will now serve two months in jail for his perverse acts.
Mohd Fauzi Abd Ghani, an assistant operation officer with the Kuala Terengganu Veterinarian Department, pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court to charges of duping his victims on June 13 and 25 this year, while posing as a gynaecologist.
According to statement of the facts, Mohd Fauzi called his victims on the pretext of their HIV screening test before telling them they had other health issues.
Under the first charge, Mohd Fauzi, who was unrepresented, called up a 21-year-old woman from Batang Kali at about 12.57pm on June 13 to inform her that she had breast cancer.
He then asked her to strip and lie down on a bed before asking her to massage the lumps in her breasts.

However, Mohd Fauzi ended the call when he heard the victim’s mother’s voice in the background.
Under the second charge, he called up a 21-year-old woman from Serendah on June 25 at about 9.27pm to inform her that she had lumps in her breasts.
He asked her strip and slap her breasts with her handphone in order to break up the fatty lumps.
He also asked her to squat and use her hand to rub her private part to ensure better sex with her future husband.
He ended the call when the victim’s fiance confronted him over the telephone. He later sent a lewd message to the victim.
Mohd Fauzi was arrested on July 13 at a hotel in Klang.
Sessions judge Nurul Madhiah Mohammed Redza sentenced Mohd Fauzi to two months imprisonment for two count of using words to insult the modesty of the victims.
He was also sentenced to one month jail for two separate charges for posing as a doctor with a government hospital.
During mitigation, Mohd Fauzi pleaded for a lenient sentence yesterday, saying he had to care for his sickly aged mother.
However, prosecuting officer Inspector Nur Sabrina Abd Rashid sought a deterrent sentence.
Nurul Madhiah ordered Mohd Fauzi’s sentences to run concurrently from the date of his arrest.
On Monday, Hulu Selangor Acting OCPD Deputy Supt Azman Ab Rahman said that 21 police reports had been lodged by victims nationwide against the suspect since January this year.- Star
