Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu had donated three cows to the Bagan Datuk Bersatu division in conjunction with last year's Aidiladha celebration.
However, a committee member filed a MACC report this morning against three of the division's top leaders for selling two of the sacrificial animals, whose meat were supposed to be distributed to the people - especially the poor.
Bahaman Tokiran said that division chief Abdul Malik Karim, deputy chief Mohd Robion Bandi and vice-chief Zul Azni Karimin purchased a laptop and printer with the money.
Estimating the value of each cow to be around RM15,000, he told Malaysiakini he waited for a year to file the report because he wanted to allow the three to rectify the matter but they did not do so.
"Two cows were sold by the deputy chief and vice chief. Only one was distributed (to the people) by the division chief," he added.
He also submitted evidence, which included recordings of telephone conversations and Whatsapp messages between the deputy chief and vice chief, to MACC.
Bahaman said he received information that the menteri besar would donate five cows to the division for Aidiladha this year.
"I decided to lodge a report so that the same thing will not happen again and those involved will be punished for their wrongdoing," he added.

'We had no computer' - duo admit selling cows
Contacted later, Abdul Malik admitted that two of the cows were sold because the division lacked funds to acquire a computer as well as to setlle bills related to its premises.
"There was no computer when we first opened the division office, we only had tables and chairs. We were unable to carry out (party) work without a computer.
"After selling the cows, the money was given to the treasurer who bought a computer and the computer is still with us today," he said.
Of the approximnately RM10,000, Abdul Malik said RM3,000 was spent on purchasing the computer whereas the balance was used to pay utility bills.
"The money was not used for personal purposes," he stressed, adding that he would cooperate with MACC.
Similarly, Mohd Robion also cited financial constraints for selling the cows.
"Bersatu's office back then did not have a computer, (we have) unsettled rental bills, outstanding electricity and water bills for months," he said.
"When MACC summons me, I will say the same thing. I will admit it was wrong and it had happened, so (I) accept it,” he added.
Mohd Robion also did not rule the possibility of being sacked from Bersatu and is prepared to face such an outcome.
He also vowed that for this year's Aidiladha, there would be a proper plan put in place.
"We will plan it properly. If anyone wants to monitor (the distribution), no problem," he told Malaysiakini. - Mkini
