NAJIB TRIAL - Day 55: Prosecution expects to wrap up examination of 57th witness today

The criminal trial of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak involving the alleged misappropriation of funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd enters its 54th day today at the High Court in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysiakini brings you live reports of the proceedings.

Summary of Najib’s SRC RM42 million case

Najib is facing 7 charges relating to RM42m involving SRC International, a former 1MDB subsidiary.

The prosecution expects to wrap up its examination of MACC investigating officer Rosli Hussain in the 55th day of Najib Abdul Razak's RM42 million SRC International trial today.
This was conveyed to Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali by DPP Suhaimi Ibrahim.
This signifies that the defence may get its chance to cross-examine Rosli during today's half-day trial session that is expected to start at 9am this morning.
Both the prosecution and defence have a chance to wrap up the prosecution stage of the SRC case by this Friday as Najib's 1MDB has been postponed to Monday next week.
However, both parties would need to work within many half-day trial slots this week because of the many non-SRC cases scheduled for hearing and mentions before Nazlan.
The reason many non-SRC matters are brought up to the judge this week is due to the SRC trial initially scheduled to run until last week but had to be continued this week to wrap up Rosli's testimony.
