PAS MP: It is Kit Siang, not Zakir Naik, who should leave
Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (above) has urged Lim Kit Siang to leave Malaysia after the veteran DAP leader urged Indian-national Zakir Naik to do so.
Zakir, who is wanted in his home country for money laundering charges, is currently taking refuge in Malaysia. The authorities have no plan to deport him.
In a statement today, Ahmad Fadhli accused Lim of objecting to Zakir's proselytisation efforts on non-Muslims in Malaysia.
Ahmad Fadhli said Lim was acting against the Federal Constitution by objecting to Zakir's right to preach to non-Muslims. ...........................................................
No one has the right to demand a Malaysian citizen to leave this country for whatever reason.
The Federal Constitution grants a Malaysian citizen to domicile in Malaysia without any hindrance whatsoever.
Who is this PAS MP to say so. Being an elected Member of Parliament, this PAS MP should know he needs to respect every citizen of this country.
The Police should immediately take appropriate action against this MP or to whoever who says that a rightful citizen or citizens should leave this country.
Just because some citizens do not want to provoke sensitivity, that does not give the right to other citizens to demand a citizen to leave this country.
Its high time Parliament makes a law that anyone who insults or provokes or demand a citizen to leave Malaysia, be sentence to jail without trial for 100 years. - Mohd Kamal Abdullah
