PETALING JAYA: A mother allegedly threw her two children and later jumped from the side of a building at an apartment in Taman Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
The 2.35pm incident on Monday (Aug 19) saw the woman, 34, and her daughter, seven, suffer serious injuries after falling from a height of 10 storeys.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said that, however, the woman's six-year-old son died at the scene.
“Initial investigations show that the trio did not live at the apartment, ” he said when contacted on Tuesday (Aug 20).
It is believed that the woman was undergoing some family problems but police said that her motive was still under investigation.
“Both mother and daughter are conscious and are being treated at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, ” he said.

Police have classified the boy's death as sudden death and are investigating the case under Section 309 of the Penal Code for attempted suicide.
