Bring GST back? Dr M says govt will consider if people want it
Malaysians are losing hope with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's administration with his frequent U-TURNS on many issues.
Today, we hear Tun Dr Mahathir saying he will reconsider bringing back GST.
Another reversal on the PH manifesto to implement and maintain SST instead of GST.
The PH government led by Tun Dr Mahathir should actually be cutting down on expenses and drastic measures must be undertaken to see that the government coffers have enough funds to implement projects that will benefit every Malaysian.
Many important decisions would have to be made even if it affected its voting bank since the people will have to earn their own living.
SST if properly and correctly planned and implemented should be sufficient. The major problem faced by Malaysia is that it has a huge debt and its current leaders are unable to take drastic measures to reduce this massive debt.
Economic and foreign policies have to change so that "business" must be the theme of the day. Others should take a back seat until our massive debts is reduced drastically.
Can we expect our current leadership to think this way? - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
