Politicians need to remember that for the future of this nation, Malaysia to progress, EDUCATION plays a prominent part, and it must be the national policy to see that every citizen obtains a good marketable qualification in the field one desires.
The current tactic of not providing the "promised" budget allocation to Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) and Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) in the 2020 Budget should never arise.
The "bullying tactic" undertaken by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng by claiming that funds will not be allocated to any education institution that is politically-owned is beyond comprehension.
Let's not play fire with our children's future.
As long as the educational institution is accountable for every sen that is allocated, and well spent for the benefit of the students.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng could not be totally blamed but MCA too must take a positive approach to ensure that they do not use TAR UC and TARC as their political tool to influence the Chinese voters in any elections.
Let's ensure that every citizen gets educated. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
