16 stations on Kelana Jaya line closed for a week

Yesterday, train services between KLCC and Kelana Jaya LRT stations were halted around 4pm.

PETALING JAYA: Rapid KL has shut down 16 stations along the Kelana Jaya LRT line for a week from today.

The affected stations are Kelana Jaya, Taman Bahagia, Taman Paramount, Asia Jaya, Taman Jaya, Universiti, Kerinchi, Bangsar, Abdullah Hukum, KL Sentral, Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, KLCC and Ampang Park.

Yesterday, train services between KLCC and Kelana Jaya LRT stations were halted around 4pm.

“The remaining stations (on the line) will operate as usual (however) services will end earlier at 11pm,” Rapid KL said in a brief statement.

However, no reasons were given for the closure of the stations.

The rail operator advised affected commuters to use the feeder bus services, which have begun operating free of charge.

Rapid KL said yesterday that trains would stop longer than usual at stations between KLCC and Kelana Jaya due to “technical disruptions”.

Earlier on Sunday, the same rail line suffered from an automatic train control system fault, disrupting regular service.

Malaysians took to social media to complain about the disruption and lack of feeder bus services. - FMT
