COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,450 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,965,666.
Active cases currently stood at 27,156, down 26.0 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Kedah (85)

Another five deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 6.7 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 5.2, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,593 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There were 101 deaths last month and 158 deaths in September.
The state with the highest death was Perak (3) followed by Sabah (1) and Selangor (1).
There are 1,848 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 91 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (148) followed by Sabah (98) and Johor (50). - Mkini
